The day and night of my auntie’s funeral was a blur. It was unexpected, as life sometimes is. My brother was in town for the funeral…we hit our wine closet and these are some of the results.
When I reviewed the photos later, I could not bring myself to delete them as this is truly how I felt.
Below just happened to be what scared my dog tonight as we played ball & made me laugh (a spinner in the wind).

I was looking out the back window and caught a glimpse of the sun setting on a birdhouse that has been there since a June birthday party. I have been looking at it for months, but today it looked different.
She is my happy place.
Seeing her wishes and love grow, makes me happy.
I hope she never stops wishing, loving, and hoping.
This morning I took the teen out for some shooting. He has recently starting getting into photography since grandma gave him her Nikon. We were both going with the theme of every angle and he ended up being my subject.

This week we spent it on vacation on the sea….there are many broken beauties here. Even though broken, does not mean not beautiful…I have a pail of beauties and treasures.

Here in California we are in a pretty severe drought. However, yesterday we had a day of rain and thunder. It was awesome. When I came out from my office, I found these beauties and luckily I had my camera.
This last one was taken last year when we were at the beach in January, the waves were so high and strong that we had to get out, nature is not something we mess with. This is my friend with my then 3 1/2 year old checking out the huge waves.
